Agreement
By creating an account or using the Sherehesha website, web app or mobile apps (the Service), you agree to these terms, our privacy policy, our community guidelines and our payments and refunds policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
What Sherehesha is
Sherehesha is a marketplace where event service providers (such as venues, caterers, decorators, photographers and DJs) advertise their services and customers find and contact them. We provide the platform only.
- Sherehesha is not a party to any agreement between a customer and a provider, and does not employ or act as an agent for providers.
- Bookings, prices, deposits, payments for event services and delivery of those services are arranged directly between the customer and the provider.
- We do not guarantee the quality, safety, legality or availability of any service advertised, or the accuracy of any listing.
Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract.
- You must give accurate information, keep it up to date and have only one account.
- You are responsible for everything done with your account. Keep your password private and tell us straight away if you think it has been misused.
- Your public display name can be changed once every 7 days and must not impersonate another person or business.
Customers
Creating an account and browsing are free. To chat with providers or reveal their phone numbers you need an active chat plan. Before paying a provider, check their profile, ratings and reviews, agree the details in writing and be careful with advance payments.
Providers
To publish ads you need an active provider plan. As a provider you agree that:
- your ads describe real services you offer, with honest prices, photos and details, in the correct category;
- you hold any licences, permits and insurance your services require and comply with the law, including tax law;
- you own, or have permission to use, every photo and piece of text you upload;
- you may have up to 10 active ads, plus any extra slots you buy, and up to 7 photos per ad. When extra slots expire, your newest ads above the limit are paused, not deleted;
- you deal with customers honestly and deliver what you agreed.
Plans and payments
The paid plans are:

- Prices are in Tanzanian shillings. The price shown in the app when you pay is the price that applies.
- Plans start as soon as the payment is confirmed. Buying a plan again adds a new period after your current one ends, so no days are lost.
- Plans do not renew automatically. We remind you before a plan ends.
- Payments are processed by our payment partner. Refunds are covered by our payments and refunds policy.
- We may change prices for future purchases. A change never affects a period you have already paid for.
Blue tick
Providers can apply for a blue tick when their email and phone are verified, their account is at least 90 days old and they have an average rating of at least 4 stars from at least 15 customers. Our team reviews each request. The blue tick shows that these checks were met; it is not a guarantee of a provider's services. We may remove it if the requirements are no longer met or these terms are broken.
Your content
You keep ownership of the ads, photos, comments, ratings and messages you post. You give Sherehesha a non exclusive, royalty free licence to host, store, display, resize, index and process that content for as long as it is on the Service, so that we can run, promote and keep the Service safe. This includes showing your ads to other users, making them searchable and reviewing reported content. You can delete your content at any time.
Ratings and reviews must reflect a genuine experience. Do not rate yourself, ask others to leave fake ratings or offer rewards for ratings.
Acceptable use
You must follow our community guidelines. In particular you must not:
- advertise illegal, counterfeit or prohibited goods or services, or anything that requires a licence you do not have;
- scam, mislead or defraud anyone, or ask for payment for services you do not intend to provide;
- harass, threaten, discriminate against or abuse other users;
- post sexual, violent or hateful content, or share other people's personal information without permission;
- send spam, copy ads or use someone else's photos;
- scrape, overload, reverse engineer or interfere with the Service, or get around its limits or paid features.
Reports and moderation
Anyone can report an ad or an account. We may remove content, pause ads, remove a blue tick or suspend or close accounts that break these terms or our guidelines, and we may do so without notice where needed to protect users. When 5 or more established accounts independently report the same account for the same concern, the reports are reviewed with the help of an AI model and the account may be suspended automatically.

Disclaimers
The Service is provided as is and as available. To the extent permitted by law, we make no promise that it will be uninterrupted or free of errors, and we are not responsible for the acts, omissions, listings or services of any user.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Sherehesha is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from agreements, payments or disputes between users. Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under Tanzanian law, including your rights as a consumer.
You agree to compensate Sherehesha for losses caused by your breach of these terms or your content, to the extent permitted by law.
Ending your use
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if required by law or if continuing would create risk for other users or for Sherehesha. Sections that by their nature should continue after your account ends will continue to apply.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. We encourage you to contact us first so that we can try to resolve any dispute informally. Any dispute that cannot be resolved this way will be decided by the competent courts of Tanzania.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the Service changes. If the changes are significant we will tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated terms.
